...a little help doesn't normally do major construction projects, but we'll never turn away a wonderful opportunity. In an area of Kabul that has limited access to decent health care, Kathleen Rafiq has become general contractor, construction engineer and cat herder. The Afshar Hospital will provide critical medical services to women and girls in a predominantly Hazara ethnic area of the city which was completely destroyed during the civil infighting of the 90's. The specialties will include a Leishmaniasis treatment center along with a maternity ward and pediatrics with a vaccine center.  Here how far the project has progressed:
